The Flying Taxi event puts Flying-type Pokémon in the spotlight within Pokémon Go! Not only does it give you a chance to register Squawkabilly in your Pokédex, but it also brings Team Rocket back into the mix. During the middle of the event, the Flying Taxi: Taken Over period begins, adding fresh Shadow Pokémon and updating Team Rocket’s rosters.
Event Conclusion: Monday 29th June at 8pm (local time)

Squawkabilly arrives in Pokémon Go
Squawkabilly, from Gen 9, is now obtainable in Pokémon Go! With multiple colour forms, it functions as a region-specific Pokémon, much like Flabébé in Go. I’ve also explained how to catch Squawkabilly, including where each colour version can spawn, in case you’d like help adding it to your Pokédex.
The Flying Taxi event is currently live, bringing Squawkabilly and its different colour variations to Pokémon Go! The Forever Forward season is underway, so it’s important to check the June event timetable. Go Fest 2026: Global is coming up fast!
There’s plenty to keep you busy in Pokémon Go even after this event ends. Jump into the Go Battle League, try Remote Trading, take part in PokéStop Showcase, explore Routes, and join Max Battles. Don’t forget to look out for rare Pokémon along the way.
