Pokémon Go’s “Flying Taxi” celebration runs from June 23-29, bringing the pompadour bird Pokémon, Squawkabilly, to the game. As usual, the event offers a range of perks—think higher spawn rates and a special Go Pass tied to the theme.
One key detail: the celebration will shift into a Team Go Rocket Takeover event on June 25, so you can expect Team Rocket–style event rewards during that portion.
Below, you’ll find a full breakdown of the event benefits, including how to meet up with Squawkabilly in Pokémon Go, for the “Flying Taxi” event.
How to capture Squawkabilly in Pokémon Go
During the “Flying Taxi” event, Squawkabilly will make its Pokémon Go debut. Throughout the event, you can try to catch this stylish bird using these methods:
- Find Squawkabilly in the wild.
- Finish Field Research tasks to unlock encounters with a yellow, blue, or green Squawkabilly.
- Reach level 60 in the Go Pass: Flying Taxi to claim a white Squawkabilly. If you buy the premium pass, you’ll also get an extra encounter with a white Squawkabilly.
Keep in mind that while the white and yellow forms can show up in many places worldwide, the blue and green Squawkabilly are regional variations. Blue Squawkabilly appears only in the Western Hemisphere, whereas Green Squawkabilly is limited to the Eastern Hemisphere.
