How to get Copper Ingots in Witchspire

Copper Ingots are a key resource in Witchspire. You’ll need them to upgrade your weapons or to raise the level of your Hearth. This progression matters a lot if you want to reach an even wider range of eye-catching gadgets, tools, and accessories.

To make things easier, I’ve put together a clear, step-by-step guide for getting Copper Ingots in Witchspire below, including where you can locate Copper Ore.

How to acquire Copper Ingots in Witchspire

In order to obtain Copper Ingots in Witchspire, you first need to mine Copper Ore with the Witch’s Pickaxe. After that, you’ll refine the ore into Copper Ingots at a Furnace. Below, I’ve laid out the full workflow in order:

1. Unlock and craft the Witch’s Pickaxe.

The Witch’s Pickaxe is unlocked in the Luminaries Skill Tree once your Hearth reaches at least Level 2.

After unlocking it, you can create the Pickaxe at a Workbench using one Gemstone, 10 Froblin Goo, and 10 Carapace.

You can pick up Carapace from Specra enemies along the shoreline, and Froblin Goo from Froblin foes at Froblin Camps.

2. Unlock and build the Furnace.

With the Witch’s Pickaxe in hand, the next move is to unlock and place the Furnace at your base so you can process Copper Ore into Copper Ingots.

When your Hearth is at least Level 2, you can unlock the Furnace in the Luminaries Skill Tree. To build it, open your construction menu by pressing ‘B’. You’ll need five Fine Wood, one Cinderbloom, and 10 Stone to put it together.

With that taken care of, it’s time to track down some Copper Ore you can smelt.

3. Mine Copper Ore.

Add your Witch’s Pickaxe to your hotbar for quick access, then start scanning the map for Copper Ore nodes. From my own runs, I found a few nodes close to the small mountain in the area shown below:

These nodes show up as large dark rocks with copper visible. Walk up to them and use your Pickaxe (much like you would when attacking an enemy) to harvest both Stone and Copper Ore.

As another option, I also came across plenty of Copper Ore in the Shard Caverns in the Timberline Basin region. To reach this area, head to the Al’uunian Tower located south of the region (the game directs you there as part of the main storyline) and use the portal. From there, take the right-hand route until you descend into the Caverns, where you can find both Copper and Iron Ore.

4. Smelt Copper Ore into Copper Ingots at a Furnace.

Once you’ve collected enough Copper Ore, head back to your base and interact with the Furnace. From there, you can refine one Copper Ingot for two Copper Ore and one Charcoal.

Don’t have Charcoal yet? You can make it by burning Wood at the Furnace before you start refining your ore.
