Hello! It’s time for that familiar moment again. Christmas isn’t here quite yet. But—better still—it’s time to pick your most-loved games from 2024.
This year has been a standout one for video games, bringing together fearless indie releases, delightful console classics, and even a princess finally getting her due. While we still have to wait for everything headed to 2025—and there’s a lot worth looking forward to—this is your chance to celebrate what arrived over the last 12 months.

We’re back once more with a request for your ranked list of the year’s top five games, along with an opportunity to share why you chose them. (We’re also matching BAFTA’s approach here, so only games are eligible—sorry, but Shadow of the Erdtree won’t be included.) If you add your Eurogamer username too, your responses may help shape our final piece, which will compile the Eurogamer audience’s overall top 50 and is expected just before New Year’s.
