Grand Theft Auto 6 price finally revealed as $80 in the US, but what about the UK, Europe and rest of the world?

After a long period of speculation and discussion, Rockstar has finally shared the official pricing for Grand Theft Auto 6.

The base version of GTA 6 will cost $79.99, with availability on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Compared with several other major releases from this console cycle, it represents a rise of roughly $10.

For those looking at GTA 6’s Ultimate Edition—something Rockstar describes as “enhancing this experience with a unique assortment of premium vehicles, weapons, clothing, and action woven throughout Jason and Lucia’s narrative”—the price will be $99.99.

Eurogamer has asked for clarification about pricing in the UK, and will provide additional details as they become available.

GTA 6 pre-orders will begin at midnight local time on June 25th. Physical copies will be on sale starting November 12th so players can pre-load, and each edition will include a code for the game. Anyone who pre-orders or buys the title before November 20th will receive a Vintage Vice City Pack, featuring a set of items inspired by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. More information on what’s included with each edition of GTA 6 is available thanks to our Bertie, who has gathered everything in one place for you.

It’s also worth noting that GTA Online won’t be included for GTA 6 at launch, with the game set to release on November 19th. In a press release published today that outlines pre-order details, Rockstar said the title will be “a single-player experience.”

In other developments, Rockstar Games is currently dealing with a legal dispute brought by the UK’s Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB). In November, the union claimed the studio carried out “one of the most overt and ruthless acts of union busting in the history of the gaming industry” after dismissing around 30 employees. Yesterday, an employment tribunal rejected Rockstar Games’ request to remove blacklisting allegations from the active legal proceedings. The matter is scheduled to be heard at trial on September 10th.
