Squawkabilly colors and how to get Squawkabilly in Pokémon Go

Squawkabilly debuted in Pokémon Go during the June 2026 Flying Taxi event. This Pokémon is classified as a Gen 9 species and comes with four different color options you can collect. Keep in mind, though, that two of the Squawkabilly varieties are limited to certain regions, so getting them all may take some effort. (Unless you can cross the Prime Meridian without much trouble.) Below, I’ll break down the Squawkabilly colors, explain how to catch Squawkabilly, and cover what shiny Squawkabilly looks like.

How to obtain Squawkabilly in Pokémon Go

To get Squawkabilly, you have two main options:

  • Encountering it in the wild
  • Flying Taxi research tasks (Catch 5 / 10 / 15 Flying-type Pokémon)

Your best bet for catching Squawkabilly is to find it in the wild. You might not have to wander too far at all. When I first opened Pokémon Go for the Flying Taxi event, I ran into two Squawkabillys immediately. Even better, they showed up in different colors, so I could snag both Yellow and White Squawkabilly right away. If you’re struggling to locate it, you can still obtain it via field research tasks, but hopefully you’ll come across it the way I did.

That said, it’s important to remember that two Squawkabilly color variations are regionally restricted. I’ll specify which ones in the next section. Still, I strongly recommend trying to catch at least one Squawkabilly before the Flying Taxi event wraps up. As usual, the spawn situation after the event is over isn’t guaranteed, so adding it to your Pokédex when you can is a smart move.

The Flying Taxi event is actively ongoing, bringing Squawkabilly and its various colors to Pokémon Go! The Forever Forward season is upon us, so it’s beneficial to check the June event schedule. Go Fest 2026: Global is just around the corner!

There’s plenty to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! From the Go Battle League, Remote Trading, PokéStop Showcase, Routes, to Max Battles. Don’t forget to capture rare Pokémon while you’re at it.

Squawkabilly colors and regions in Pokémon Go

Squawkabilly is available in four colors—Blue, Green, Yellow, and White—and the exact color (or form) you can encounter depends on where you live, since these versions are regionally exclusive in Pokémon Go.

These are the regions tied to each Squawkabilly form:

  • Blue Squawkabilly – Western Hemisphere
  • Green Squawkabilly – Eastern Hemisphere
  • Yellow Squawkabilly – Worldwide
  • White Squawkabilly – Worldwide

Because Squawkabilly is usually found in the wild, there are only three practical ways to finish your collection. First, trade with players who’ve gone to the opposite hemisphere and already caught a Squawkabilly. Second, wait for an event where the color you’re missing shows up in your area. That could take years, but, based on Pokémon Go’s history, it will eventually happen. The final approach—and the most expensive—is to travel to the opposite hemisphere yourself and hope to discover the Squawkabilly color you don’t yet have.

Is Squawkabilly shiny in Pokémon Go?

No, shiny Squawkabilly is not available in Pokémon Go at the moment. So you’ll need to hold off a little longer before you can add this shiny version to your lineup.

Honestly, shiny Squawkabilly doesn’t stand out all that much. Not really. (Still, at least it isn’t green.) The only change is the shade of its pompadour, shifting from black to light pink. This same alteration applies across every Squawkabilly form, meaning you won’t end up chasing multiple different shiny Squawabillys.
