Rockstar Games has revealed the cover image for Grand Theft Auto 6, and it matches what you’d likely expect—along with the pre-order schedule for the highly anticipated release.
On the cover, you can spot the unmistakable GTA visual language: the game’s name sits among a collection of themed panels. In the artwork, there’s a yellow Lamborghini-like car, a speedboat, a crocodile, and a helicopter. We also see a person popping a wheelie on a sports motorcycle, someone pointing a machine gun—possibly in a reckless fashion—and two more figures: one dressed in a bikini and another wearing a lot of jewelry. And, of course, the game’s two main leads, Lucia and Jason, are front and center.
There’s even a flamingo included. Since this story unfolds in a Miami-like Vice City, I’d guess flamingos feel at home there—or maybe they’re there simply to round out the pink-and-purple vibe.
One intriguing detail: it looks like a helicopter shows up in the upper-left panel of every Grand Theft Auto cover image going back to Grand Theft Auto 3—in other words, in essentially every modern Grand Theft Auto entry.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X begin on June 25. I don’t expect there to be any trouble getting copies, but you never know. Still, it’s reassuring to see the certainty around the November 19 launch date.
The timing of this announcement is also a bit surprising, coming right after an employment tribunal ruling against Rockstar Games. That decision relates to an ongoing legal matter in the UK concerning layoffs and allegations of suppressing unions.
