Pokémon Pokopia‘s “Wish Upon a Jirachi” event lets you pick up fresh celestial- and cloudy-themed decorations, while also inviting the wish-granting Jirachi to stick around in your town. To earn the furnishings, you’ll have to craft wish notes and then upgrade them into radiant wish notes. Building Jirachi’s home additionally calls for four items from that same set. That means that even if you don’t especially care for the starry decorations, you’ll still need to collect enough radiant wish notes to set up Jirachi’s residence.
This event runs from June 23 at 5 a.m. until July 8 at 4:59 a.m., based on the time shown on your Nintendo Switch 2 console.
Below, we break down how to begin Pokémon Pokopia‘s “Wish Upon a Jirachi” event and how to earn radiant wish notes.
How to kick off the ‘Wish Upon a Jirachi’ event in Pokopia
First, make sure you’ve updated your game to version 1.1.1 and have at least one remodeled Pokémon Center. When you start up the game, you’ll get a message letting you know that a special Pokémon is stopping by. Jirachi will be milling around near the Pokémon Center. Talk to them, and they’ll ask if you can help gather radiant wish notes—though they won’t explain how to get them.
You’ll be given a recipe for standard wish notes. To craft a single wish note, you’ll need two vine ropes.
After that, head over to the Pokémon Center. Jirachi has set up their shop there, and you’ll see their themed items on display. Every item costs one radiant wish note.
How to obtain radiant wish notes in Pokopia
You can ask Jirachi about radiant wish notes, but the response you get is only a broad hint about supporting others while you’re holding wish notes. Here’s what’s actually going on.
Once Jirachi opens their shop in the Pokémon Center, you’ll sometimes spot a Pokémon wandering around with a dialogue bubble above its head. They won’t come up to you directly, and the bubble won’t have the orange quest border that signals the presence of a Pokémon offering a quest. Make sure you have a wish note in your inventory, then approach that Pokémon and interact with it.
They’ll ask for your help, and once you agree, they’ll tell you what they need. You’ll hand over a wish note for them to hold while you complete the task.
Based on our observations, the requests fall into three main categories:
1. Bring them the item or meal they ask for, or—if they’re looking for furniture—place the requested piece in their home or habitat. Speak with them again when you’re done to wrap up the request and get your wish note back, which will now be converted into a radiant wish note.
These event requests stay available until the game resets for the next day, but there’s no downside for missing them. In addition, there doesn’t appear to be a cap on how many requests can pop up during a single day, so you should have plenty of chances to collect every radiant wish note you need.
That said, the appearances seem to be somewhat unpredictable. You may go five or ten minutes without seeing any Pokémon offer requests, or you might run into several at once. If things feel slow, try traveling to another region to find more. From what we’ve seen, if you’ve raised the environment level to three and obtained the Pokémon Center repair kit, Pokémon can still have event quests available even when the center isn’t fully operational. In that scenario, Jirachi simply won’t display items for sale.
All ‘Wish Upon a Jirachi’ event rewards in Pokopia
Jirachi’s shop stocks 10 items, including the parts you’ll need to build their habitat. Each costs one radiant wish note, meaning you’ll need at least four to construct the habitat and at least 10 total to pick up one of every item.
Much like the Sableye and Hoppip events, some of Jirachi’s offerings are useful in everyday play while others are primarily decorative. For example, the bed functions like a normal bed, while the wardrobe works for storage and the dresser can be used to change your look. After you spend seven radiant wish notes, Jirachi will also give you a star-themed photo frame.
As usual, if you want to stock up after the event ends, you can use Pokémetal to duplicate these items at the 3D printer in the Pokémon Center.
