Shiny Frigibax first debuted during the Pokémon Go Fest in Osaka in May 2025. That means shiny Frigibax—as well as its shiny evolutions, shiny Arctibax and shiny Baxcalibur—have been in the game for more than a year.

If you haven’t snagged this minty dragon yet, you’re in luck. Every Community Day boosts the odds of encountering a shiny for the featured Pokémon. You can boost your odds even more by using an Incense to increase the number of Frigibax spawns. As a result, finding a shiny Frigibax shouldn’t be too difficult. Keep tapping on Frigibax until you see one turn shiny. Also, pay attention for the sparkle animation and the shiny badge beside its name so you don’t overlook it.

As you can see, the shiny Frigibax family leans into mint green tones. It makes you wonder whether that choice was intentional, since they’re Ice-types. And honestly, what’s cooler than “cool”? (And if you spotted that André 3000 nod, you’ve earned a little extra bonus.) Mint fits—no question about it.

How to acquire Frigibax with perfect IV CP

June’s Community Day is the perfect chance to look for a Frigibax with flawless IVs. (In Pokémon Go, this is commonly called a “Hundo”.) Your goal is to land 15/15/15 IVs to produce a fully powered, 100% IV Pokémon for your 4* Pokédex, raids, and Master League.

If you’re at least Level 30, you should aim for these CP values when you’re trying to catch a 15/15/15 Frigibax:

• Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 1,069 CP
• Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) – 1,158 CP

The wild CP numbers apply to your Trainer Level up to Level 30. Since most players are already past that point, we’ve kept these figures for the sake of clarity. If you’re currently below Level 30, though, those CP values will be different.

Frigibax’s Community Day move

June’s Community Day adds a brand-new, exclusive move for Frigibax’s final evolution, Baxcalibur.

If you evolve an Arctibax into Baxcalibur during the event or within four hours after it ends (until 9pm local time), the Baxcalibur you receive will know Glaive Rush—an exclusive Dragon-type Charged Attack. Importantly, this is Baxcalibur’s signature move, so it’s definitely worth your attention!

• Gym and Raids – 105 Power

We recommend waiting until Community Day finishes before you grab this exclusive move, so you can evolve your Pokémon using the best IVs available.

Optimal Baxcalibur moveset suggestion in Pokémon Go

When building Baxcalibur’s ideal moveset, we generally point players toward Dragon Breath as a Fast Move and Avalanche as a Charged Move. That pairing fits the typing well and also benefits from STAB, which is always a plus. Baxcalibur can hold its own in PVP, so if you’re looking for an alternative option, Dragon Claw is usually preferred over Outrage.

One detail that stands out is the amount of energy Glaive Rush uses. Avalanche deals 90 damage for 45 Energy. Since Glaive Rush also lowers your Defense, it should be noticeably more efficient than Avalanche. If Glaive Rush costs 45 Energy or more, Avalanche ends up being the better choice for PVP.

It’s also worth noting that, in Raids, Glaive Rush hits about 25% harder than Avalanche—though again, the key question is how affordable it is to fire off. If it costs 60 Energy or less, Glaive Rush becomes the better move.
