John Wick’s Dog is now available as a companion in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, but getting it requires you to finish a quest.
To add John Wick’s Dog to your squad, you’ll need to either rescue it or pet it. Still, because Season 3 brings an entirely new island, tracking the dog down may take some effort.
Before you start hunting for John Wick’s Dog, make sure you own the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 battle pass—without it, you won’t be able to complete the quest.

Finding John Wick’s Dog can be challenging because it can show up in several spots. So far, we’ve identified it in the sewers under Battlewoods and inside the southern structure at Sinister Strip. For more specifics, check the sections below.
The dog won’t land in the exact same location in every match, so there isn’t a single “best” place to check. Also, there’s no icon for John Wick’s Dog on the main map, yet you can see an icon on your minimap. That means you should ignore the main map and watch your minimap for an indicator showing a dog and a cage, like in the screenshot below, or listen for barking.
John Wick’s Dog location in Battlewoods
John Wick’s Dog can appear in the sewers beneath Battlewoods. The easiest way to get there is to jump into the river beside Battlewoods and look for an opening in the wall. One entrance can be found on the eastern side, and another is on the northern edge. There’s also an opening farther to the south, but rather than coming in from the water, you’ll need to locate the opening east of the Golden Reel movie theater.
John Wick’s Dog location in Sinister Strip
John Wick’s Dog has a chance to spawn in the southern building at Sinister Strip. This structure sits just south of the “Sinister Strip” POI label on the map and features Dark Voyager statues on its facade. Go into the lobby, where you’ll either find John Wick’s Dog secured in a cage or resting outside.
How to rescue or pet John Wick’s Dog in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3
If you arrive to John Wick’s Dog first, it will be locked in a cage and protected by security guards. Take them out, clear the next wave of guards as well, then open the cage to release the dog. Once you complete the rescue, you’ll receive full health and shields again, plus a mythic 9mm Baba Yaga pistol.
If the dog has already been rescued, you can pet it right away. Petting it will fully restore your health and shields.
