How to acquire pets in Crimson Desert

To get pets in Crimson Desert, you need to reach a trust level of 100 with a stray or wild animal. To start, approach an animal and, when a prompt appears, interact with it by petting it. Keep doing this to grow your bond. After you hit the required trust level, you can select the shown prompt to adopt the creature if you want.

That said, there are a few rules to follow. You can pet the same animal up to five times per day; once you’ve reached that limit, you’ll have to wait until the next real-world day before you can interact with it again. Also, feeding it raw food will speed up the process.

When you pet an animal and your trust increases, you’ll see a brief message appear on the left side of your screen.

One of the first places you can find a pet to befriend is around Hernand. Keep an eye out for stray animals wandering through the streets, then begin interacting with them to form a friendship. It might take a bit of patience, but a furry companion should be within reach sooner than you think.
