Gold Ingots in Witchspire play a key role in a wide range of crafting recipes and upgrades. Just as importantly, you’ll need them to raise your Hearth to Level 6, which unlocks extra options within your Luminary. The catch is that Gold Ore isn’t always easy to come by, so you must first obtain the recipe before you can turn it into Gold Ingots.
With that in mind, here’s how to get Gold Ingots in Witchspire.
How to obtain Gold Ingots in Witchspire
To receive Gold Ingots in Witchspire, you need to mix Gold Ore with Charcoal at a Furnace. Before you can do that, though, you’ll have to locate Gold Ore and craft the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe, since that tool allows you to mine it. Below, I’ll walk you through every step.
1. Reach Mining Level 10 and Hearth Level 4.
First, make sure your Hearth Level is at least 4 and your Mining Level is 10. Once you meet those requirements, you can unlock the recipe for the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe along with Gold/Silver Ingots on the right side of your Luminary (shown below). The Gold/Silver Ingots recipes are positioned right above the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe entry.
2. Craft the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe.
After unlocking the recipes, build the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe at your Workbench using the following items:
- 5x Iron Ingots
- 10x Froblin Goo – obtained from Froblins.
- 10x Carapace – dropped by Specla.
- 3x Gemstone – acquired while mining.
Now you’re ready to track down Gold Ore and start mining!
Locations of Gold Ore in Witchspire
From what I’ve seen, Gold Ore can be pretty tough to track down, but there are a few reliable places to farm it in Witchspire.
One option is along the coast in Mira Isles, where the Dark Comet appears during the Level 15 Main Quest – Corruption—I’ve marked the location on the map below. This area gives you a solid amount of Gold Ore for mining.
Another place I’ve managed to find Gold Ore deposits—though not as consistently—is around R’hyrrgar’s Peak in Eastell (the farthest eastern region of Mira Isles). Starting from R’hyrrgar himself, keep climbing the mountain, and you should come across some Gold Ore along the way (shown below).
These two spots should provide more than enough Gold Ore for what you need right now. Once you’ve collected a good amount, return to your Furnace and smelt one Charcoal and two Gold Ore to produce one Gold Ingot.
