Hello! It’s that time once more—rest assured, I’ll keep this brief. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s servers are now up for early access players in the UK, accessible here, but we won’t be posting a review on the site today—nor will there be one tied to the game’s official launch on Friday, February 2nd.
The reason is straightforward: its publisher, Warner Bros., is only handing out review codes today. From what we can tell, this doesn’t appear to be a situation where Eurogamer has been singled out or treated differently from the other outlets and channels that are also preparing to review the game. Instead, the publisher has chosen to release codes only after the title goes live, not beforehand—something that happens now and then, though it’s uncommon for the delay to stretch to a full 24 hours after the game becomes available in certain regions.
Of course, there are the standard caveats to cover here, with the biggest one being that we aren’t eligible to receive early access codes. The total number of codes provided, along with the schedule, is entirely up to the publisher’s discretion—they own the game, and they’re free to handle access however they think best. For that reason, please treat this as another “PSA” in the same spirit as similar notices we’ve shared previously under comparable circumstances, such as those surrounding No Man’s Sky, Watch Dogs 2, Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and most recently, Starfield.
We’ll do our best to bring you a thorough review as quickly as possible. In the meantime, feel free to read Ed’s detailed preview of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and our news and guides teams will continue working just as diligently to keep you updated on everything else you may need to know.
