UPDATE 2ND DECEMBER: Today is the last day to use the discount. The code will stop working at midnight UTC tonight.
ORIGINAL STORY 27TH NOV: We’ve got two reasons to celebrate today: a Black Friday price cut on annual Eurogamer memberships and a game giveaway reserved for yearly subscribers. And the featured game is a brilliant choice—Citizen Sleeper.
Claiming the Black Friday 20 percent discount is simple. Head to our “Support Us” area, then choose to subscribe for an annual membership. After that, once you reach the payment screen, pick the field for a promotional code and enter EGBF24. Your total will drop from £30/€30/$30 to £24/€24/$24. That works out to £2/€2/$2 each month, if you’re wondering; a typical monthly subscription costs £3/€3/$3. This discount code will run out on Tuesday, 3rd December, at midnight UTC.
Choosing the yearly subscriber route—along with the standard membership benefits like ad-free watching and access to special articles and content—also means you’re in line for game key giveaways. For this moment, we have a fresh giveaway ready. We’re handing out 100 keys for Citizen Sleeper, split between PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. These codes can be redeemed in Europe only. (If you’d rather, Citizen Sleeper is also on GamePass for PC and Xbox.)
To get a key, go to the “My account” section of the website (in the top-right on desktop, or in the three-lined menu on mobile). From there, find the Codes tab. Scroll until you reach the Citizen Sleeper giveaway, then select the version of the game you’d like. You’ll probably come across codes for extra games too—feel free to claim those as well.
If you haven’t come across it yet, Citizen Sleeper is a heartfelt sci-fi tale centered on a remotely controlled body (the Sleeper) who sets out to understand their place and role on a lawless, neglected space station called The Eye. It’s a story shaped by friendship and personal development, alongside a mystery about what lies within—both in yourself and in the station itself, all the way down to its messy circuits and software-driven structure. It’s gentle and reassuring, reflective and genuinely meaningful. Chris Tapsell highlighted Citizen Sleeper in his review (before we moved over to a star-rating format).
On top of all that, a sequel is just around the corner. Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is planned for early 2025, and based on a recent demo, it looks to be in fantastic shape. There have been plenty of changes and enhancements to how the game plays. The core sense of warmth is still there, but you can now feel more built-in tension and stakes, which makes it even more exciting. The RPG systems are deeper and more layered too—there’s simply more to uncover in every corner. I’m really looking forward to it.
If anything goes wrong when redeeming any of the items above, please leave a note in the comments, or reach out to me at supporters@eurogamer.net. Finally, thank you to everyone who’s supported us up to this point—it truly means a lot.
