Where’s our Mafia: The Old Country review?

Hello! We’re back once more—don’t worry, I’ll keep this short, as promised. You may have seen reviews for Mafia: The Old Country popping up around this time, but sadly, you won’t find a review on our site today, and there won’t be one when the game officially releases later this afternoon either.

The reason is simple: as of this writing, we haven’t received advance review keys from the game’s publisher, 2K Games—so it’s time for the usual disclaimers.

Most importantly, as always, we’re not owed early access. How many review codes a title gets, and when they’re delivered, rests entirely with the publisher. Those codes are theirs to manage, and they decide how and when access is granted. For now, please treat this as another “PSA” alongside the similar notices we’ve shared before in comparable situations—think releases like No Man’s Sky, Watch Dogs 2, Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, or more recently, MindsEye.

We’ll do our best to publish a full review as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you can check out Mafia: The Old Country’s minimum PC requirements, along with details on how it should run across different performance and quality settings. You can also read our review of the newest Mafia release—the remake of the original in Mafia: Definitive Edition. Naturally, our news and guides teams will keep working hard to make sure you’re updated on anything else you may need to know. I’m personally looking forward to playing it, and we can’t wait to share our impressions when we’re able.
