Specifically, the Rideout Customs modification store is shown on the site as being “only operational with the Ultimate Edition.” The listing also covers mod shop One-Eyed Willies, hairdresser Sara’s Unisex Salon, clothing outlet Stock 305, and the tattoo parlor Electric Fang Tattoo. This point wasn’t included in the details shared in the press release earlier today.
Of course, I expect there will be plenty more hair salons, vehicle modification businesses, clothing stores, and tattoo studios to uncover around Vice City, but this new information is still a notable development.
These physical editions are scheduled to go out early so players can pre-download the game. Digital pre-order customers will get the same chance: pre-download will begin on 12th November. As a result, the boxed editions won’t include a disc—instead, the package will contain a download code.
Rockstar outlined two editions for GTA 6: a Standard Edition and an Ultimate Edition, with the Ultimate Edition including an exclusive collection of “premium vehicles,” weapons, clothing, and “action intertwined throughout [protagonists] Jason and Lucia’s narrative.” A separate upgrade to the Ultimate Edition will be offered for purchase.
Anyone who pre-orders the game, or buys it before 20th November, will also receive a Vintage Vice City Pack featuring items inspired by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City—”when the neon shone its brightest.”
Digital pre-orders additionally include a free month of GTA Online subscription via GTA+, although it’s worth noting that GTA Online won’t be available for GTA 6 at launch. Rockstar described the release as “a single-player experience,” so whatever GTA Online content is planned for this launch period will likely arrive afterward.
The Ultimate Edition extras include:
- ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Paradise Garage: An off-road machine with outstanding handling for trips across Mount Kalaga and beyond, kept conveniently in a garage at Watson Bay. It includes a weapon locker for tailoring your loadout to any situation, plus a stash box for holding stolen goods.
