Fine Wood in Witchspire is one of the materials you’ll need to craft a variety of items and unlock fresh upgrades, though its location isn’t obvious at first. I ended up finding it almost by accident while I was trying to collect Wood.

How to acquire Fine Wood in Witchspire
In Witchspire, Fine Wood comes from large oak trees. What sets these trees apart is their noticeably broader trunks compared to the others you’ll encounter.
To collect it, start by creating the Logging Sickle at a Workbench with these materials:
- 1x Wood
- 5x Stone
- 5x Spirit Dust
After that, head to an oak tree and strike it with the Sickle.
As soon as you’ve reached Hearth Level 2, Logging Skill Level 5, and you’ve managed to get hold of some Fine Wood, you can also unlock the Spirit Logging Sickle from the Luminary. Then craft it at a Workbench using the following items:
I recommend going for this right away, because this Sickle calls spirits that will collect Wood (including Fine Wood) for you—making the whole harvesting routine far easier. If you’re planning to build big, you’ll eventually need a fairly large supply of this resource.
Once you’ve unlocked the Broom and a Sickle in Witchspire, spotting oak trees becomes much simpler—provided you know what to focus on.
Lift off on your Broom from the starting zone in Vyrs and watch for tall trees with thick trunks. Using this approach, I was able to spot and harvest three oak trees right away, giving me plenty of Fine Wood.
You can also find oak trees around the Witchspire Tower. Since this area hosts Pheomina Familiars (which drop Spirit Dust and EXP), Verdantblooms, and Iron Ore, it’s an excellent spot to gather several resources at the same time.
