In Grow a Garden 2, knowing what the top seeds are really matters, because it helps you put your resources to work more effectively and earn better results. When the strongest seeds are growing in your garden, you can soon build up a healthy stash of Sheckles—money you can then spend on pets or even on more seeds. With that in mind, let’s trim the unnecessary details and get into the best seeds tier list for Grow a Garden 2. Afterward, I broke down each tier on its own and reviewed the selling prices for every fruit.

Top seeds tier list for Grow a Garden 2
Here are my tier rankings for the strongest seeds in Grow a Garden 2. Just remember: this ranking is subjective, so your experience may differ from mine.
S Tier Seeds
| Fruit | Base Selling Price (Sheckles) |
|---|---|
| Dragon’s Breath | 3068 |
| Ghost Pepper | 2256 |
| Moon Bloom | 8122 |
| Mushroom | 11,732 |
| Poison Apple | 812 |
| Venus Fly Trap | 2708 |
| Venom Spitter | 4000 |
S Tier, as you’d expect, contains the best seeds you can grow in your garden. The downside is that they’re fairly costly and also not very common. To make sure you have enough money to buy any of them once they show up at the Seed Stall, you’ll want to focus on growing seeds from the lower tiers. (Be sure to revisit the Seed Stall each time its stock updates!)
The top seed in S Tier is the Moon Bloom. Its fruit sells for an impressive amount, and harvesting it also provides the anti-gravity effect. That means you can collect any fruit that would otherwise be out of reach. While Mushrooms bring in the most profit overall, they only allow a single harvest and take a long time to grow.
That said, don’t limit yourself to only Moon Bloom and Mushrooms. Dragon’s Breath and Venus Fly Trap are also excellent for guarding your garden after dark, since they’ll go after any players who try to take from you. Consider planting these three seeds close together to better protect your most valuable crops from would-be thieves!
A Tier Seeds
| Fruit | Base Selling Price (Sheckles) |
|---|---|
| Bamboo | 722 |
| Poison Ivy | 1534 |
| Pomegranate | 812 |
| Sunflower | 1579 |
Although A Tier mostly includes seeds that didn’t quite make it into S Tier, that doesn’t mean they’re worth skipping. Pomegranate is a smart pickup whenever you can get it, since it’s a multi-harvest crop with a strong selling price—and the same idea applies to Poison Ivy.
One seed here that can feel a bit unusual is Bamboo, so let’s clear that up. Bamboo may not fetch the highest prices, but it’s an incredibly useful plant to keep in your garden. If you played the original Grow a Garden, you’ll remember that Bamboo placed strategically can work as a handy ladder for crops that are difficult to reach—and many of those can be sold for substantial amounts. If you don’t want to rely on tricky jumping/platforming, or if you’d rather speed up harvesting, Bamboo is a solid investment. Just make sure you don’t accidentally break that Bamboo ladder while you’re gathering your crops.
B Tier Seeds
| Fruit | Base Selling Price (Sheckles) |
|---|---|
| Acorn | 180 |
| Cherry | 316 |
| Dragon Fruit | 135 |
| Glow Mushroom | 635 |
| Horned Melon | 180 |
This tier acts as the middle ground between the top earners and the plants you’ll use to build the early backbone of your gardening operation. Here you’ll find crops like Mango and Acorn—both of which can produce multiple fruits but also take up a considerable amount of space in your garden. (If you haven’t bought the initial garden expansion yet, make sure to do that before planting these seeds.) Along with those, there’s Cherry, which grows slowly
…yet it stays profitable, and Glow Mushroom, which also grows slowly and remains profitable, comes with the trade-off of producing only one harvest.
When choosing seeds from this tier, I recommend narrowing it down to two or three varieties. That approach can act as a stepping stone toward higher-level seeds. Personally, I’d go with Cherry, Horned Melon, and Dragon Fruit. Each of these tends to bring decent selling prices, supports multiple harvests, and can be grown either directly from the ground or from a well-placed Bamboo.
C Tier Seeds
| Fruit | Base Selling Price (Sheckles) |
|---|---|
| Baby Cactus | 63 |
| Banana | 32 |
| Cactus | 36 |
| Corn | 31 |
| Grape | 41 |
| Mango | 81 |
| Tulip | 54 |
C Tier includes the seeds you should…
Your aim should be to move forward once you’ve built a reliable starter garden with the D Tier seeds. Seeds in this group are a bit harder to track down, with slimmer odds of showing up in the Seed Stall and a higher price tag, but they’re still far more obtainable—and more affordable—than what you’ll find in the higher tiers.
Ideally, pick crops that can be harvested more than once—Corn, Banana, and Grape are good examples. Just keep in mind that these plants can grow quite tall, which may make gathering your yields a little more involved. For that reason, it helps to grow Bamboo alongside them so you can reach everything more easily. (Be especially careful with Coconut, since that palm tree can be tall.)
Seeing Tulip listed here might feel surprising at first, but the profit it brings compared to its seed cost is actually quite strong. Pair that with its quick growth, and you can earn some easy income from Tulips—particularly if a mutation takes place.
D Tier Seeds
| Fruit | Base Selling Price (Sheckles) |
|---|---|
| Apple | 11 |
| Blueberry | 5 |
| Carrot | 5 |
| Green Bean | 9 |
| Pineapple | 27 |
| Strawberry | 3 |
| Tomato | 8 |
At the very bottom of the list, you’ll find what are arguably the beginner seeds of Grow a Garden 2. These are the first seeds you’ll buy with your initial Sheckles, and they’re also the most likely to be stocked in the Seed Shop. If you’re just starting out, you’ll begin by being able to purchase Carrots, but I strongly recommend switching to Strawberries and then Tomatoes as soon as you can. While they grow quickly and can be harvested multiple times, their sales prices aren’t very high. Even so, they’ll help you get rolling.
As you may have noticed, Pineapple and Green Bean are included in this tier as well. Even though these seeds are less common, Green Beans don’t sell for much, and Pineapple only produces a single harvest that also brings in a low price. If I had to choose between them, I’d pick Green Bean because of its multiple-harvest advantage. Just remember that it can grow tall, which could make it harder to collect its crops during the early part of the game.
I hope this helps you cultivate the garden you want! If you’d like more guidance for Grow a Garden 2, make sure to check out how to get a pet and how to join a Guild. You should also get familiar with weather events and mutations.
