How to bargain in Grow a Garden 2

Negotiating in Grow a Garden 2 helps you aim for the best possible payout for the crops you’ve harvested— and in some cases, you may even manage to get more. Before stopping by the seed shop to haggle over your selling amount, here’s a straightforward look at how to negotiate in Grow a Garden 2.

Update: After the update on June 19th, this option is currently turned off. It seems to have been swapped out by ‘Double or Nothing’—though the Daily Deals are still there.

How to negotiate in Grow a Garden 2

In Grow a Garden 2, you can negotiate with Steven at the Sell Shop when you have crops to sell. Head to the Sell Shop, then select the ‘Negotiate’ choice when it becomes available. From there, decide whether to use ‘Negotiate Inventory’ to bargain for everything in your backpack, or ‘Negotiate this’ when you’re selling a specific crop.

Next, Steven will review your proposal and either approve or reject the negotiation. If he turns it down, you’ll lose some Sheckles and those items can only be sold for the standard amount. If Steven agrees, you’ll get a more favorable rate for what you brought to sell.

You’ll then see a few choices:

Option one – Accept the offer

If Steven agrees with the negotiation, you can choose to accept his offer. If you feel the deal doesn’t look right, you can leave the Bargain screen and try listing the item or items at their usual price to judge whether Steven’s number makes sense.

Option two – Daily Deals

As the title suggests, you can use this option only once per real-world day. Because of that, it’s smart to wait until you have top-quality items in your inventory. You’ll still need to wait for Steven’s response to your negotiation before you can take advantage of it.

The Daily Deal option increases the price you receive for your inventory during negotiations with Steven. For that reason, it pays to hold off until you’re sure you’ve got valuable crops ready for the day—this option can help you get a little extra without having to do anything extra.

Option three – Request a higher price

If you don’t like the amount Steven offers, you can select this route to push for a better deal. Keep in mind, though, it will cost you additional Sheckles, and you won’t always see the price go up—so there’s a bit of uncertainty involved.
